D.A.S. Audio announces new Event line array range

D.A.S. Audio has introduced the Event series, a range of line array systems for small to medium-level sound reinforcement applications.

Ideal for permanent installations and mobile systems, the new line consists of three models – two line arrays (Event 208A and 210A) and a companion bass system.

Both Event 208A and 210A are three-way powered line arrays in double 8” and 10” configurations respectively. The loudspeaker units have been combined with a single M-75 compression driver and injected aluminium high frequency waveguide. The two line arrays are also powered by a three-channel Class D amplifier, which provides 360 Watts peak per channel.

The rear panel on the amplifier features Neutrik XLR and powerCON connectors, status LEDs and a D.A.S. Easy-DSPTM interface, which simplifies preset selection for the number of units and throw depth.

The twin 18” sub utilises the manufacturer’s LX series long-excursion loudspeakers for solid bass response. Designed to be coupled with the 208A and 210A, the front-loaded system is powered by a 3,600-Watt peak Class D amplifier, and achieves a rated maximum peak SPL of 140 dB.

The amplifier is equipped with a Cardioid Preset mode switch, which enables specific signal treatment for easy set-up of pairs of systems in cardioid subwoofer applications.

All units offer professional-grade Baltic Birch plywood construction, and are finished with D.A.S. ISO-flex paint.

Steel rigging hardware is included on the line array systems, allowing for safe and precise flying. A range of accessories are also available, along with transport dollies and protective covers for all models.
