Prolight + Sound: Studiomaster to debut digiLiVe console

Studiomaster is set to launch digiLiVE, a new ultra-compact digital audio mixer at Musikmesse and Prolight + Sound simultaneously.

digiLiVE 16 is a 16-input, 16-bus, eight-output digital audio mixer sporting a control surface integrating a 7in Android-driven high-resolution touch-screen and eight motorised 100mm fader operation, alongside fully remote (iOS and Android) tablet operation. The company will be showing the new mixers on its stands in both the Prolight + Sound and Musikmesse exhibition halls.

The 16 inputs include 12 professional mic input channels; AD/DA conversion is 24-bit/192 kHz and there are up to eight internal effects busses with reverb, delay, 15-band EQ and modulation. The eight ‘smart’ XLR analogue outputs are assignable, and outputs also include digital AES/EBU ands SPDIF. Two USB interfaces are included (front and rear panel) supporting playback and recording, scene storage and system updating, while WiFi and Bluetooth wireless connectivity are supported. 

Other new Studiomaster products being shown at Prolight + Sound include the European debut of the VISION compact analogue mixer series. VISION is available in unpowered (VISION 8) and powered 2x500W (VISION 1008) and 2x1000W (VISION 2008) variants, featuring ultra-lightweight ‘audiophile-quality’ Class-D amplification. All models feature eight channels – six mic and two stereo and 9-band graphic EQ.

Also making its European debut is the DRIVE series of two-way, active, portable injection-moulded PA cabinets. DRIVE 4A is a 12in LF/34mm compression HF driver combination, and the DRIVE 6A a 15in LF/34mm compression HF driver combination; both models are powered with 310W RMS (1200W peak) class-D amplification, delivering 126/127dB max SPL respectively. The rear input/control panel includes mic and line inputs, 3-band EQ and gain and level controls with a balanced link output. 8-ohm passive variants are rated at 500W and 600W continuous program power (1000W/1200W peak). All models are fitted with 35mm speaker pole connectors and five M10 flying points and recessed side and top carry handles.

ClubXS, a portable mixer series will also be debuted. Two models, the XS8 and XS10, both feature onboard FX, integrated USB/SD card stereo media player and USB/SD card recording from main mix. They also include Bluetooth connection for playback, 60mm faders, balanced XLR outputs, control room output, two sends and a stereo return. All mic input channels have 3-band EQ, hi-pass filter and built-in compressor. Line input channels feature 2-band EQ; all channels feature channel mute and two Aux controls. The XS8 has four mic and two stereo inputs, while the XS10 has six mic and two stereo inputs. An internal super-quiet switched-mode power supply and phantom power on all mic inputs also feature.
